What will you do? As a senior OSINT researcher, you are an important sensor in the intelligence process of military cyber operations. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the intelligence required to achieve operational goals is available. Your knowledge of intelligence, research in open sources (including social media) and of course cyber is an important part of our success.

As a senior OSINT researcher, you conduct in-depth research into publicly available information based on the intelligence needs of primarily the military cyber operation and secondarily other parties in the intelligence domain. You are the point of contact and advisor for OSINT within your work environment and the representative to the outside world. In addition, you are responsible for acquiring and safeguarding knowledge in the field of OSINT.

Who are we looking for?

For this position, it is particularly important that you have experience and knowledge in the field of OSINT, SOCMINT and an affinity with cyber. You have skills in conducting research (in open sources), applying research and analysis methods and techniques, and writing and presenting OSINT semi-finished and final products.

Knowledge/Education

  • Relevant HBO/WO education or equivalent work and thinking level
  • Additional courses in the use of the internet, social media, conducting research on the internet, social media and with information provider

Experience

  • Extensive experience with OSINT
  • Extensive (technical) knowledge of online (social media) platforms and information sources

Desired

  • Experience with scripting or programming languages
  • Experience in the intelligence domain (e.g. MIVD preferred)
  • Experience in the cyber domain
  • Experience working in a joint environment
  • Experience working within the MIVD, in particular as an OSINT researcher

We are therefore looking for driven Senior OSINT researchers, with the mission of acquiring Open Source (incl. social media) Intelligence to enable military (offensive) cyber operations. Special features The position imposes restrictions and obligations on the freedom of action, both professionally and privately. A security investigation (possibly a psychological investigation and/or requesting references) and online screening are part of the application procedure. For the security investigation, Dutch nationality or a combined permit for residence and work (GVVA) is required. A possible partner and other people in your environment may be screened by the MIVD. Please note that the selection procedure, including the security investigation, may take several months. An assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
