Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Search Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed online research using OSINT tactics to assist our customers, offering innovative solutions to their concerns, and providing top-notch customer service. You will be the go-to expert in uncovering information online, with a strong command of our company’s customer service policies and product knowledge.

As a Search Specialist at SocialCatfish.com, you will play a critical role in uncovering the truth behind online identities. This position involves extensive public research using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques to identify and verify individuals who may be involved in scams. You will work closely with clients who have experienced or are currently experiencing online fraud, helping them by identifying potential fraudsters and providing key information.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough online research to verify the identity of individuals, both real and fake.
Utilize OSINT techniques and various databases to trace and uncover information from public sources.
Analyze images, emails, and other digital footprints to trace the origin and legitimacy of online profiles.
Must be proficient using reverse people search tools including reverse image searches
Investigate cryptocurrency wallets and transactions as part of cryptocurrency fraud cases.
Work directly with clients to gather relevant information and keep them updated on case progress.
Prepare detailed reports outlining the findings of investigations and research.
Collaborate with the team to continuously improve search methodologies and tools.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive client information.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Previous experience in customer service.
High school diploma or GED required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience researching various cryptocurrency (mainly BTC, ETH, EFTs) including transaction hashes, wallets and exchanges
Proven experience in online research, whether through previous roles, private investigation, law enforcement, or people search platforms similar to SocialCatfish.com.
Proficiency in navigating online public records and interpreting data.
Expertise in identifying online "leads."
Knowledge of IPs, VOIP, proxies, and online image searches.
Comfortable potentially appearing on camera, including social media and YouTube.
Familiarity with how social networks, dating sites, forums, online apps, and other internet platforms operate.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and the ability to create online PDFs and reports.
Experience with online scams is highly desirable.
Military or law enforcement experience is a plus.
