An Investigative Analyst assists case managers at Hodson P.I., LLC with investigative work, reporting, research, and other investigation needs. This position would primarily work on various types of background investigations, social media investigations, open source intelligence (OSINT), and complete preliminary research on other types of investigations as needed. There is immense potential for growth in the company.

Job Description:

We are seeking someone who can develop into a skilled and diligent Social Media and Background investigator. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional research skills, and a deep understanding of social media platforms and investigative techniques. We would also like report writing, review and analysis, research, analysis of evidence, administrative duties, data-entry, answering phones, contact with vendors and clients, assisting investigations managers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough and discreet social media background investigations on individuals and entities using various research methods and online databases.
Utilize advanced techniques to analyze social media profiles, activity, and content to gather relevant information for investigative purposes.
Assess and verify the authenticity and credibility of information obtained from social media and other sources.
Summarize findings in a clear, concise, and comprehensive manner for client reports.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective investigation strategies and ensure project objectives are met within established timelines.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and techniques related to social media and investigative methodologies.
Phone calls and possible administrative duties to assist case managers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred, but not required).
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Preferred, but not required)
Minimum 0-2 years of work experience
Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook) (Required)
Experience with Adobe
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to meet rush deadlines under pressure
Close attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Legal/Investigations: 1 year (Preferred)

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques.
Familiarity with various social media platforms

· Location: This can be a remote position or work can be done out of our Temecula office, depending on your location. Applicants must reside in the state of California. Typically, this would be an eight-hour day. At times, overtime may be offered based on our caseload, but it will not be required.
