The Joint ISTAR Command of the Army is now looking for a Reservist Open Source Intelligence Analyst who also enjoys providing substantive guidance to junior analysts. Note: if you are accepted for this position, you will be appointed to the Ministry of Defence as an 'Officer Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst'.

This is what you will do As an Officer OSINT Analyst, you collect, manage and analyse Open Source data, information and Open Source Intelligence. You use tools such as OSINT, RSS, Alerting and Add ons. You act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of OSINT by advising policy makers and commanders, among others. In addition, you will prepare reports and briefings, collect feedback and provide substantive guidance to junior analysts. For this position, you must have knowledge of the CIS and C31 field, cyber capabilities, information security and the Deep Web and Dark Web.

You are also able to report and brief analytically, manually review and process large amounts of information and assess Public Available Information (PAI) publications and Open Source broadcasts. Note: As a reservist, you will receive a 0-hour contract. Depending on your availability, you will make agreements with your commander about how many hours you will be deployed. This can be a fixed number of hours per week or per month, or per exercise or project. We expect you to train and work approximately one evening per week, one weekend per month and two consecutive weeks per year.

Depending on your civilian salary, a labor market allowance can be awarded, this can be decided during the selection and assessment process.

This is where you will work

You will work at the Open Source Intelligence Company (109 OSINTcie) within the Support Group CLAS (Land Forces Command) of the intelligence unit Joint ISTAR Command of the Royal Netherlands Army. The 109 OSINTcie is responsible for processing Open Source and PAI (Public Available Information) into intelligence. You will participate in the exercises and can be deployed on a voluntary basis.

In the first year, you will also follow the General Military Training Reservists Basic (ARB). This lasts two weeks, but you will be home during the weekend. After successfully completing your training, you will immediately start your career as an Officer OSINT Analyst in the Land Forces.
