The Berlin Police – the State Criminal Police Office (LKA 8) –
is seeking anOSINT Analyst with SpecialInvestigative Duties – Turkish – (f/m/d) to begin as soon as possible. Reference number: 032-25. Pay group: EG 12 TV-L. Full-time with 39.4 hours per week (part-time employment is possible). Location: Ringbahnstraße 123, 12103 Berlin (with excellent transport connections). Duties

  • They deal with the occasion-related research of public and publicly accessible phenomenon-/crime-related Internet content,
  • You document the research results in a way that is reliable and admissible in court and represent them appropriately (e.g. as a witness in court),
  • They appropriately communicate the relevant findings to the relevant stakeholders,
  • They support police operations in live monitoring of public sources,
  • They evaluate online communication behavior on phenomenon-relevant websites,
  • They identify users behind accounts and operators of websites and can geolocate users if necessary,
  • You prepare evaluation reports and, if necessary, presentations,
  • You will provide support in telecommunications surveillance measures and in internet-specific matters of other departments,
  • They participate in training and further education programs.

Profile:

A completed bachelor's degree in social or political science or a comparable field (with a focus on the Internet) or at least five years of comparable professional experience and in-depth knowledge of the phenomenon of Islamism.In addition to the formal requirements, you possess:

  • demonstrable advanced knowledge or experience in the field of internet research and evaluation of publicly available data,
  • linguistic competence in German at least at C1 level,
  • Interest in geopolitical, social and economic issues in order to be able to identify relevant trends and developments,
  • A confident understanding of text and content in Turkish is desirable,
  • Experience in using analysis or evaluation software is desirable.

Furthermore, we wish

  • a high degree of endurance, resilience, reliability, independence and organizational thinking as well as willingness to perform,
  • Your willingness to work on call and outside office hours on weekends and public holidays, as well as on a needs-based basis, if necessary, putting aside your private concerns.

To perform this task, you must complete a security clearance (SÜ 2).
