intelligence specialist front office
Job Description
What are you going to do?
As an intelligence specialist, you play an essential role in the front office, also known as the 'front door' of the Regional Intelligence Organisation (DRIO) Service. There you help with the processing and sharing of intelligence. You take the initiative in managing information flows and, where necessary, assist with your own analyses. This ensures that the right information is available at the right time. You are central to the DRIO front office and provide intelligence questions that do not need to be answered 'real-time'. In doing so, you coordinate with internal stakeholders who are spread across various parts of the organisation, both within and outside the unit. In this way, you guarantee the correct flow of intelligence. You are the driving force behind operational issues and work on them together with your department. You advise the team leader, help colleagues make choices and act as a connecting factor in changing work processes. At the same time, you coach your team, translate plans into concrete actions and actively seek cooperation within and outside the organisation, for example at the intersection of intelligence and our teams in investigation.
You advise colleagues within DRIO, but also colleagues on the street, in the investigation and many other partners. They come to your department for questions, explanation and advice. You support them with issues and provide the crucial insights with which they can strengthen their work. In addition, it may happen that you make a short analysis yourself or help out where necessary, especially when it concerns OSINT. In doing so, you collect and analyze information from open sources and translate this into practical intelligence, which means you contribute directly to the intelligence position.
Where are you going to work?
You will be working at Team Intelligence. Within DRIO, we are turning intelligence into a profession. We believe it is important to work on safety themes with other DRIO departments. Team Intelligence provides the districts and services with information products tailored to their task, including safety images. Coordinating and monitoring the quality of information are responsibilities of the department. The department consists of various teams, which are decentralized in the districts and services. As an intelligence specialist, you will play an important role in this; we offer you a challenging and meaningful position within a dynamic organization where there is room for professional development and growth. You will be part of a collegial team in which knowledge sharing and collaboration are central.
Who are you?
You are an energetic professional who likes to connect people. With your tactful way of acting and strong advisory skills, you know how to involve everyone in the process. You are creative and proactive, and make optimal use of the networks around you. Thanks to your analytical skills, you can effortlessly translate information flows into useful insights and action perspectives. In addition, you are a real source of information in the field of intelligence and OSINT. You inspire colleagues and like to share your knowledge. You feel at home in a dynamic environment and remain sharp and agile even under pressure. You can switch gears with different conversation partners and you have the natural gift of coaching and motivating colleagues. In addition, you are (or will be) deployable as an officer on duty intelligence (ovd-i). Irregular shifts are no problem for you.
You also have:
- HBO (bachelor) work and thinking level*;
- knowledge and/or experience in the field of open sources and internet research.
