Would you describe yourself as a dedicated, empathetic and development-oriented leader? Then you might be our new section leader for OSINT in PET's Acquisition Department.
About the job
As a Section Manager in the Acquisition Department, you will be the leader of skilled and highly committed employees whose task is to find and collect relevant information online for PET's operational tasks. Your task will be to lead and develop our skilled employees and PET's OSINT efforts in an interdisciplinary collaboration across PET and with national and international partners.
You will be the leader of a group of specialized employees with different professional skills who work every day to ensure the security of Denmark and the Kingdom of Denmark. You will be part of a management team that, together with you, is responsible for the center's daily operations, development of the work area, and many other diverse management tasks. As part of the work, there will also be a need to carry out business trips both domestically and abroad.
The overall purpose of the position:
• You contribute to PET's operational efforts by ensuring that your employees create operational effectiveness in counter-espionage efforts and counter-terrorism and counter-extremism efforts, respectively
• You advise and qualify the decision-making basis for senior management and political level in coordination with your center manager
• You create optimal conditions for innovation and development of the section's capacities and competence level
• You ensure the well-being of the section with a focus on motivation, innovation and attracting talent
Primary tasks and areas of responsibility:
• Professional and personnel management of the section's employees
• Development of the section in coordination with the center's management team, team coordinators and employees and in accordance with PET's strategic landscape
• Reporting to the center manager and through him to senior management
• Prioritizing and managing the section's tasks in coordination with our internal partners
• Responsibility for the quality and legality of the section's deliveries
• Preparation of analyses, background papers, talking points, consultation responses, etc.
• Leading and running cross-cutting projects
• Representative for the section and for PET in external contexts, both nationally and internationally

About you
You have a great drive and experience in managing specialized employees. You have excellent collaboration skills, which means that you thrive in cross-functional collaboration with many different professional disciplines. You want to take the lead and drive complex tasks with a creative mindset and at the same time understand different task solutions.
In addition, we expect you to:
• be an experienced, empathetic personnel manager with a well-equipped management toolbox
• be professionally committed and development-oriented and can be very close to the operational work
• be good at creating and maintaining relationships with people with widely different backgrounds, as you will experience that PET creates operational results through relationships both within and outside PET
• have an understanding of the political situation
• be creative and innovative
• have good judgment to make the right choices and be robust and adaptable when the conditions around you change
• have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and be fluent in English
• it is not a prerequisite, but clearly an advantage, if you have professional experience within one or more of the following areas: OSINT, technology and data, intelligence and/or investigation
We emphasize that you can document your interdisciplinary collaboration skills and your management experience from your previous work.

Employment start expected as of March 1, 2025
Your workplace will be at Klausdalsbrovej 1 in Søborg, right next to Buddinge station. If you have an academic background, you will be employed on collective agreement terms in accordance with the agreements currently in force between the Ministry of Finance and the Central Organisation of Danish Academics.
If you have another educational background, you will be employed on collective agreement terms in accordance with the organisational agreement currently in force.
An employment relationship in PET must be treated with discretion, which you as an applicant must be aware of. This means that you can generally tell close and confidential relations whom you trust that you have applied for a position in PET, but not what the job entails. In order to get a job in PET, you must also be able to obtain security clearance. As a security clearance holder, you are expected to be particularly aware of your duty of confidentiality in relation to classified information.
