Intelligence Specialist

The Intelligence Specialist is responsible for supporting efforts to develop and implement a University-wide intelligence and insight program for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) at Stony Brook University. This person will collect, analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources to provide tactical and strategic insights to provide the University with a high degree of situational awareness to manage risk. This person will track issues of importance and, in an actual crisis, provide timely information and analysis concerning the situation. This person will partner with various internal teams to quickly and discreetly provide intelligence to assist in the decision-making process to mitigate threats and inform response strategies for ERM and other key University partners. The successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences including senior executives. Will have a demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a team environment as well as independently with minimal direction.
