An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Threat Intelligence & Training Lead to join our Defence Aerospace business in Bristol.
In this role, you will form an integral part of our Defence security team who protect, sustain, and enable our business to deliver its range of service offerings. You will lead and oversee the collection of raw information from a range of areas and turn it into actionable intelligence to support Rolls-Royce’s business operations. You will develop a range of intelligence products, briefings and training material to support the continued management and mitigation of threats both internally and externally, whilst supporting and mentoring all employees.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Lead the collection and aggregation of information from various sources, including OSINT and UK government and turning it into actionable intelligence to support risk management, security posture, security culture and operational deliverables across the Rolls-Royce Defence business.
- Lead on the development of threat intelligence strategies, products and training to proactively meet with security objectives and risk mitigation strategies of the Rolls-Royce Defence business.
- Prepare and publish accurate and informative threat intelligence reports and products including training to offer actionable insights to senior management, stakeholders and all defence employees.
- Participate in incident response activities, providing real-time intelligence and contextual threat analysis to support effective and swift incident resolution.
- Define, develop and deliver threat intelligence training across the business, including the development of threat scenarios for security and business continuity testing

To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- A background in Defence security and security threat assessments, with experience in intelligence gathering, threat intelligence, incident response, or related fields.
- An excellent understanding of how raw security data can be manipulated to provide useful security information.
- An understanding of how to develop threat scenarios.
- Expertise in the design and delivery of training course material.
- A motivated self-starter with strong communication skills and evidence of being able to communicate intelligence issues senior stakeholders.
This role will require you to hold a Developed Vetting (DV). To start, you will require a minimum Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work.
