FRA's internet collection operations are expanding and we are looking for experienced OSINT collectors who want to help build a new operation whose focus is the collection of open information, in support of intelligence production. The function supports the entire department's operations and the issues are varied, challenging and often complex. If you are an experienced OSINT collector, we can offer you interesting work in a knowledge-intensive operation where you can participate and make a difference. Your mission
As an OSINT collector, you are part of the Signals Intelligence Department, which conducts signals intelligence in accordance with the Act on Signals Intelligence in Defence Intelligence. The department works with collection, processing and analysis and delivers intelligence reports and other services to the agency's clients.
In the role of OSINT collector, your main tasks are to:
- Obtain, assess and process information from open sources.
- Support FRA's intelligence reporting functions with collected material.
- Continuously monitor the world around us on different topics and geographical areas.
- Participate in operational development of the OSINT function.

You can
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in collecting and processing open sources, for example in intelligence or the armed forces. But you can also have a background as an investigative journalist, researcher, international affairs monitor, investigator or equivalent.
We are looking for someone who has:
- University education in, for example, library and information science, political science, officer training, journalism or another field that the employer deems equivalent. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience.
- Worked professionally with OSINT or external intelligence within intelligence services, government agencies or business.
- Very good internet skills - you closely follow the development of services, functions and working methods.
- Good knowledge of social media.
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience with commercial tools for OSINT and SOCMINT.
- An interest in technology that preferably includes programming in, for example, Linux.
- Completed relevant training in the field, e.g. SANS, OSINT COMBINE, I-INTELLIGENCE, NATO courses or others. Experience with Analyst's Notebook.
- Experience in investigative and/or intelligence work.
- Relevant language skills

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes by bus from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA means placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a passed security clearance with a register check. The security clearance will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
