Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist/Researcher with a strong background in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data analysis, machine learning, and OSINT techniques, along with a keen ability to identify and extract valuable information from publicly available sources. This role will involve conducting advanced research, analyzing large datasets, and providing actionable insights to support our clients' strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Analysis:

  • Utilize advanced OSINT techniques to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data from a wide range of publicly available sources, including social media, forums, websites, and databases.
  • Apply machine learning algorithms and statistical methods to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within the data.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and automated systems for continuous monitoring and analysis of open-source data.

Research & Intelligence Gathering:

  • Conduct in-depth research on specific topics, regions, or entities of interest, synthesizing information from diverse sources to generate comprehensive intelligence reports.
  • Analyze geopolitical, social, and economic trends using OSINT methodologies, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in OSINT tools, techniques, and best practices, integrating new methods into existing workflows.

Strategic Insights & Reporting:

  • Translate complex data and research findings into clear, actionable intelligence for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, visualizations, and briefings that effectively communicate key insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OSINT findings into broader strategic initiatives and influence campaigns.

Tool Development & Innovation:

  • Develop and refine custom tools, scripts, and algorithms to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of OSINT operations.
  • Explore and implement new technologies and methodologies for data collection, analysis, and visualization.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure that OSINT tools are integrated into the company’s broader data science and research capabilities.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and subject matter experts to ensure that OSINT activities are aligned with overall project goals.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, tailor research efforts, and deliver intelligence that drives results.
  • Provide training and support to team members and clients on OSINT techniques and tools as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, International Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in data science, research, or intelligence analysis, with a strong focus on OSINT.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data analysis and machine learning libraries.
  • Strong understanding of OSINT techniques, tools, and methodologies, including the use of social media analytics, web scraping, and data mining.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and the ability to create compelling visual representations of data.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information from diverse sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with geopolitical, security, or strategic communication domains is a plus.
